Miel Rose is a rural, working class femme who was raised by hippies in the wilds of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. She is crafty in multiple senses of the word, being both a witch and a lady who loves to work creatively with her hands. She is a textile artist, smut writer, hairdresser, magic skills teacher, intuitive guidance giver and healer, among other things. Whatever she is doing, she is passionately concerned with the empowerment of desire and promotion of authentic self. She currently resides in Northampton, Ma with her canine life partner, Poozy. Ali Diamond is a textile artist, crafter, and creator, telling stories and documenting life, most recently through embroidered portraiture. She is inspired and fortified by her upbringing in coastal New England and her hard working, creative family. A lifelong maker of things, she is interested in the line between craft and art, and why those lines exist at all. For her day job, she runs an excellent thrift store with a remarkable group of ladies, raising money for hospice care. She lives and works in Western Massachusetts, sharing her home with the dog, the cat, and her girlfriend, Katie.

Drawing on the typically feminine legacy of anonymous visionary and folk artists documenting their lives and history with needles (Bayeaux tapestry, anyone?), Miel and Ali are dispelling that myth of anonymity and bringing an ages-old art into the 21st Century with Family Portraits, Self-Portrait, Surreal Portrait , and Erotica, including work by their contemporary colleagues as well as their own luscious designs.
